Network Outages Today

We experienced a brief network outages today. Our hosting service's data-center experienced some network connectivity issues around 12:36pm (CST) today. Connectivity was restored at 12:55pm.

Our apologies to anyone who tried to connect during that time.

Server Restarted!

My apologies to anyone that was connected this afternoon. I was checking on some things, attempted to open the server log file (a REALLY large text file) in Emacs--this was apparently too much for the machine. We were back up quite quickly though.

Machine Down!

The machine is down and inaccessible at this time. I'll comment here when I know more. Sad

Recent Outages

On three separate occasions on Saturday, the muck was down for a couple of hours. There was a problem with a process on the machine (not the game's process) tying up the entire machine and requiring a reboot to resolve.

Very soon, an update will be installed on the machine that should correct the problem. Hopefully, the update will be installed before the process misbehaves again.

Server Problems

From about 4pm to 6pm (central time) this evening we had either dramatic slow-downs or outright outages with the server.

There was a runaway process on the host machine eventually required rebooting the entire machine to resolve.

We're back up and running now.
